Why do I get called a baby christian, and that I'm on milk?

I find it insulting. Just because the christian may understand a bit more about a particular area in the bible doesn't mean they have to be condescending about it. I'm sure there are some areas in the bible that I may understand better than they do. Why do they generalize like that?
