I have been having severe cramping & bleeding during my period! I have my period 9 days & bleed severly for 5?

days of it! I went to my doctor & they took a sonogram of my uterus and found fibroids & cyst on my ovary. They want to do a hysterectomy! Has anyone got this surgery for fibroids and what should i expect? thanks.
