My kitty stinks, what can I do?

I have two beautiful male kittens, the only problem is that they stink a little bit. The smell isn't horrible, it's just that when you get near them to cuddle or pet them, you'll smell it. They kind of smell like dirty horses lol. And I also just moved into a new apartment and they leave some hairs behind, so I have to constantly clean my sheets every week and broom them floor practically every day... it's kinda tiring. I've heard that it's not recommended to bathe cats but I'm not an expert. So you guys tell me... bathe them every few weeks? Perfume them? Other?
