Download music to LG Imprint Phone by MetroPCS?

How do I download songs from my computer to my cell phone, LG Imprint? It had brought a USB cable which connects to a travel adapter to charge the phone. Would that be the USB Cable I would use? If so how do i download songs? Please help.
